Lisa Helmanis

We believe in enduring design. We create spaces and brands built to be inhabited, to acquire meaning over time, and to resist the compulsion to be replaced. Materials chosen because they age well. Identities designed because they hold.

A multidisciplinary interior design and creative agency working across hospitality, commercial and residential spaces, Day Studio was founded by Lisa Helmanis, a designer, artist, former Sunday Times design editor and Goldsmiths graduate. We approach every project with this same editorial instinct: find the real story, then find the most considered way to tell it.

We work with a close-knit team with a deep network of makers, craftspeople, architects and specialist producers built over sixteen years. Our clients range from independent chefs and first-time restaurateurs to established operators and commercial developers commissioning high-end commercial interiors. Whether the project is a luxury hospitality interior or a considered digital presence, the approach is the same: find the idea, build everything around it, choose materials and details that will serve it for years.
