Situated in London’s food haven Borough Market, Padella presented an interesting design challenge; how to create a vibrant, casual dining restaurant where most of the property is in the basement. The solution? Take the theatre of the freshly made pasta and skill of the chefs into the small, awkwardly shaped ground floor, ensuring that passers can see the devotion that has them queuing all day. Pass the coveted kitchen bar seats to the buzzing high ceilinged basement, in op art tones and a touch of glamour.

Since opening in 2106 Padella has won Evening Standard and Observer Food Monthly awards.
